How to use Rockwell hardness tester HR-150A

Before the test, first align the 150kg, 100kg, 60kg load handwheel on the upper right side of the hardness tester with the red dot position. The red dot corresponds to 150kg when measuring HRC, the red dot corresponds to 60kg when measuring HRA, and the red dot corresponds to 100kg when measuring HRB (At this time, the indenter should be replaced with a steel ball indenter).
Put the cleaned standard hardness block or sample on the cleaned workbench, rotate the screw handwheel clockwise, slowly rise, lift the hardness block or sample up the spindle (indenter), add the initial load, and indicate The small pointer from the black point to the red point is the initial load. At this time, the big pointer turns three times until the big pointer faces upwards. The difference between the big pointer is ±5 scales. If it exceeds 5 scales, this point should be invalidated test.
Rotate the indicator (dial) shell to align the long engraved line between C and B with the large pointer.
Pull the loading handle (the lower front handle on the right side of the hardness tester) to apply the main experimental force. At this time, the large pointer of the indicator rotates in a counterclockwise direction. After 4-8 seconds of rotation stops, the unloading handle ( Push back the rear handle on the lower right side of the hardness tester to remove the main test force. Note that the application and removal of the test force must be carried out slowly.
Read and record on the indicator. When using the diamond compression test, read it according to the black letters on the outer ring of the dial; when using the steel ball compression test, read it according to the red letters on the inner ring of the dial. Under normal circumstances, the hardness value of four points is measured on the sample, the hardness value of DIYI point is not counted, and the average of the hardness values of the last three points is the hardness value of the sample, and the technical requirements are in accordance with special circumstances.
Rotate the screw handwheel counterclockwise to lower the sample before moving the sample, and then test the second, third, and fourth points according to the above ②~⑤ process. The test indentation of the two points should be greater than 4~5mm.
When the height of the sample is greater than 100 mm, the outer plastic protective cover of the screw must be removed to avoid lifting the workbench and affecting the test results. Put it on after the test to protect the screw from dust.
Regularly inject a small amount of oil into the contact surface of the screw rod and the screw handwheel, and wipe the top surface of the screw rod and the upper end of the workbench and the contact surface. During the test, be careful not to scratch the work surface, so as not to affect the test results, if there are burrs, use oil stone to polish.
Avoid hitting the indenter when moving or ascending. If the indenter is damaged, replace the indenter in time to ensure normal use.
If the indicator pointer starts to rotate quickly and then slowly when the main test force is applied, it means that there is too little oil in the buffer. At this time, you can lift up the felt pad at the upper end of the buffer and slowly inject clean 20# oil. Pull and push the front and rear handles on the lower right side several times to move the piston up and down several times to expel the air in the buffer until there are no bubbles when the piston sinks to the bottom, only oil overflows from above.
When the hardness tester is not used for a long time, cover the tester with a dust cover.
